Martin Scorsese to Present at 77th Academy Awards®

Cate Blanchett to Present at 77th Academy Awards®

Beverly Hills, CA — Academy Award®-nominated actress Cate Blanchett will be a presenter at the 77th Academy Awards ceremony, telecast producer Gil Cates announced last week. Blanchett is nominated for an Academy Award for her supporting role in "The Aviator." She received her first Oscar® nomination in 1998 in the Leading Actress category for her performance as Queen Elizabeth I in "Elizabeth." Blanchett's other film credits include "Veronica Guerin," "Charlotte Gray," "The Talented Mr. Ripley" and "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy.

Academy Hosts the 2004 Oscar® Fashion Preview

Beverly Hills, CA —The latest fashions from the biggest names in couture hit the runway at the 77th Annual Academy Awards® Fashion Preview. Oscar fashion coordinator Patty Fox and 20 models previewed the glamour and sophistication fans can expect to see in the fashions worn by the nominees, presenters and guests attending this year’s Oscar ceremony. Natalie Portman to Make First Oscar® Show Appearance

Beverly Hills, CA — Academy Award® nominated actress Natalie Portman has been tapped to present at the 77th Academy Awards®. This will be her first appearance as a presenter on the show. Portman received her first Academy Award nomination this year for her performance in "Closer." She is currently on location filming "Free Zone" and will begin production on "V for Vendetta" later this year. Portman will be seen next in "Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith." Oscar® Nominees Honored at Academy Luncheon

Beverly Hills, CA — Seventeen of the 19 nominees in the acting categories will be among the more than 100 nominees from 24 categories who will gather at noon for the traditional pre-Academy Awards fete when the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences honors this year's Oscar contenders at its annual Nominees Luncheon on the past (February 7), at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

From the Leading Actor and Actress categories: Don Cheadle, Johnny Depp, Leonardo DiCaprio, Clint Eastwood, Jamie Foxx, Annette Bening, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Imelda Staunton, Hilary Swank and Kate Winslet.
